¡Hello everyone!
My name is Maria, I am 29 and I am from a small town near Barcelona. I have more than 8 years of experience teaching English, Japanese and Spanish.
I speak Catalan and Spanish as they are both my native languages, but I also speak Japanese (I have the N2 level of the JLPT), English (C2 level recognized by Cambridge University), French (DELF B2) and Portuguese. I am currently studying Mandarin Chinese as well.
I love languages and learning about other cultures!

I am a very passionate teacher because I love learning. I also love seeing the improvement in my students. I have been teaching since I graduated University and it is a job that I truly love. I think being a teacher does not mean having all the answers but being open-minded and accepting of other points of view. I always say learning goes both ways, since you can also learn from your students as a teacher.
I have a master’s degree in Spanish Language, a Professional Spanish Teacher certificate by International House and I am a certified examiner for the DELE (A1-A2, B1-B2, C1-C2).Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I try for my classes to be fun and dynamic. I try to teach trough conversation as well so do not be shy: you do not have to be afraid of making mistakes!
I do follow a series of textbooks called Aula Internacional Plus, combined with other activities and resources. I will provide all the materials needed for the lessons as well as homework and extra activities for self-study.
I try to use mainly the target language in my lessons to improve your listening skills, but if you are a beginner do not worry! We can start slow and I can also teach in any of the languages I speak.Il mio materiale didattico

I look forward to my lesson with Maria every week (even when we study the subjunctive!). She listens to feedback and accommodates the requests of the student while also using her own instincts to prepare a creative lesson-plan. She's also super reliable & has a very clear way of explaining things! <3
