My name is Shirin.
I'm originally from Iran but I'm living in Turkey right now.
I speak Persian, which is my mother language, English, French and a little bit Turkish.
I'm a bit shy but having worked as a teacher for many years, I have learned to communicate in other languages without any fear and I constantly encourage my students to do the same.

I have been working as a French teacher since 2009.
Conversation, beginner lessons and test preparation are my specialities.
I always try to create a friendly and positive atmosphere in my classes.
To Farsi learners : Speaking a mother tongue is one thing and teaching it is another : I know all the grammar you need to learn and I'm able to explain it using an easy and understandable way. The idiomatic expressions that you could learn talking to a native speaker can help you a lot expressing yourself in this language.

In every lesson I use a different method according to my student's needs :
French Test preparation : Samples, structure explanation and trics to answer questions provided. The focus will be on upgrading student's level in All 4 skills.
French Beginners : A book will be chosen according to student's preferences and we'll start from scratch, focusing on correct pronunciation and daily conversations.
For Farsi learners : I share my own document which contains alphabet, dialogues and grammar.
I also teach Farsi using a special book written for foreigner Persian learners.

Professeur très structurée, qui maîtrise le français parfaitement bien, ce qui est un avantage certain pour moi qui veux apprendre le persan. Elle comprend mes difficultés. Je la recommande vivement.

J’ai eu plusieurs leçons avec Shirin, et je trouve son soutien vraiment utile pour me préparer à l’examen. Shirin propose des explications pour toute question ou sujet qui pose des difficultés. Pendant une leçon, tout reste clair et je reçois des conseils sur les aspects où je fais des erreurs ou ceux qui peuvent être améliorés.

I've had 4 lessons with Shirin so far, and she's truly exceptional. Her expertise in TEF Canada preparation is unmatched— the test format and strategies to excel. Shirin's method of correcting errors by writing them down and then revising in different colors is incredibly effective. After trying 8 different French teachers on Italki, Shirin is by far the best, especially for TEF prep. I only wish I'd found her sooner! Highly recommended!
