Hello! I’m Vivi, an English teacher with a CELTA qualification. Originally from Colombia, I lived in London for over 15 years and have been in Portugal for the past year and a half. I worked in Marketing for 7 years in London and now teach English to children (4+) and beginner adults. I help children learn English from scratch or build on their current level, and I specialise in teaching adults with family abroad or those looking to improve their English for travel or work.

You can expect my lessons to follow a structured format, using up-to-date engaging materials.
For children, I create my own resources, focusing on providing a natural environment where they can gradually absorb English through immersion. I also use the Cambridge methodology, using the ‘Pippa and Pop’ and ‘Be Curious’ programmes, specifically designed for children (4+) to help build foundational skills.
For adults, I blend coursebook instruction with real-world materials, using resources like Oxford’s ‘English File’ and Cambridge’s ‘Move Upper’ programmes while adapting lessons to meet individual needs.

My teaching style for both adults and children is organised, friendly, and focused on individual needs. My lessons are structured around clear goals (reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills), ensuring every student feels a sense of progress and achievement.
With children, I use age-appropriate games, songs, and stories to create a playful learning environment. For adults, I focus on practical communication, helping you navigate everyday situations based on your goals.
