My name is Erin, and I am originally from San Diego, California. I have been teaching English for the last fourteen years, and I absolutely love it. Besides teaching, I also love traveling and learning about different people and cultures around the world. So far, I have traveled to 38 different countries, but I still have many more to go. My hobbies are learning new languages, photography, listening to music, watching movies, salsa dancing, writing, and cooking. Although I grew up in America, I have spent the last 14 years living abroad in Italy, China, Japan, Thailand, Australia, and Spain (mainland + Gran Canaria).Che tipo di insegnante sono
Teaching is truly one of my biggest passions in life. I really enjoy helping my students meet their learning goals and seeing them succeed. I am experienced in teaching beginners, intermediate, and also advanced students from ages 5-76. Over the last 14 years, I've taught at elementary and junior high schools, private language schools, and universities. My experience includes but is not limited to the Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages (Kanda Gaigo Gakuin) and NYU's Tokyo campus.

Learning on Italki has given me a lot of great examples of how to create fun and engaging lessons. I like to use at least 2-3 different learning platforms or support materials to help keep lessons interesting. In general, I try to maintain an easy-going and relaxed teaching style to help you feel comfortable when making mistakes. You should never feel bad about making mistakes because these are the moments when we learn in life. However, if you prefer the lessons to have a stricter/more corrective tone, I can easily adjust to that as well. I usually use presentation slides, pictures, audio/video files, and various materials to help give you an English experience you can use in real life.Il mio materiale didattico

Erin's classes were always good. She prepared all lessons perfectly and tried to match for the student. Her lessons had educational goals and we could go for it together. She is really smart so we could talk about every theme I want. Also she has empathy, so the talk with her were always graceful. I feel like we are friends. I really want to have her as a lifelong tutor for english! Thank you, Erin!

Erin´s an amazing teacher. She is creative, resourceful and hardworking. I have such a wonderful experience with her. So if you want to improve your speaking skills and have an amazing time, she´s the person you should go to!

This is my fifty lesson with this teacher.I like very much having lesson with her because she really help to improve your english.The more you practice with her,the less mistakes you will do!She has also a good sense of humour and this is important to have lesson never boring,..5 stars for her!:)
