Hello! I'm Yi Kuan. I am a native Chinese and Cantonese speaker with four year of experience tutoring to all ages and language abilities. I have been trained with TEFL. I love travel, sport activities, reading and painting! I love learning languages and I am currently studying Japanese. I believe being able to speak to someone in their native language is a very powerful skill and this is what inspired me to want to help people learn language. I like to think my students feel completely comfortable to be themselves and make mistakes in my class! Mistakes are important for improvement, so the more the better! I do recommend that you take a trial lesson. I will always make contact with you via message before our first meeting to allow me to prepare a little for our first class. We will then have a chat so I can see what your general level is and find possible topics of interest so we can adjust the class to fit you. The class is all about conversation and getting you used to speaking. Even if you don't think you can say that much, don't worry because you will improve each time! From the bvery beginning, she made learning Mandarin feel approachable and exciting. Her teaching style is both encouraging and effective, making even the most challenging aspects of the language easy to understand. I felt supported throughout the lesson and left feeling more confident in my ability to learn and speak Mandarin.
