Emile

Emile is a fantastic teacher. He is always prepared and organized. His lessons are interesting and cover a wide range of topics. He also gives you some work to do between lessons so that you can keep the momentum going. I have definitely benefited a lot from the practices with him.

Emile is a wonderful teacher, he is passionate about the language and sharing his knowledge with his students, he is creative, always have interesting materials and approaches for learning, he is not afraid to challenge your limit a little bit, but always very supportive. He is an intelligent person who is very easy to talk to on any subject, he is curious, always exploring new things and people and places, that I think is one of the most important qualities for being a good teacher. I have always enjoyed my lessons with him, I have made so much progress on my French in the 7 months that I studied with him, and looking forward to explore more in my French learning.

Excellent teacher. He has taught me a lot. He prepares great individualized lessons, and he's very patient. At the same time, he's not afraid to push you a bit to the next level. In addition, he's a fun and charming person. You will look forward to your lessons with him. I highly recommend him.

What a terrific French teacher Emile is— he knows it all – the language, the country, the culture— and he knows how to draw you into the cultural uniqueness of places in Paris – like the marche’ en Belleville— and he can do the voice of the guy selling organic fruit and vegetables – just like an auction vendor! I just completed my fifth lesson with Emile, and am very happy with my progress so far! When he states that the lessons are a safe zone, he is absolutely correct. I know that I make a lot of mistakes when speaking, especially when trying to avoid using English as much as possible, but he creates a comfortable zone to make those mistakes and provides appropriate and encouraging feedback. The lessons are a perfect blend of talking, listening, expanding vocabulary, and exploring grammatical concepts. With just a few lessons, I've already noticed my ear is improving to picking up the cadence in speech, recognizing words I don't know, and I've been able to understand the concept of many questions/statements even if I don't recognize every word spoken. Emile definitely pushes me more than I would push myself alone - which is what I need! Take a lesson with him, you will be glad you did!
