⭐Mia

Mia is always great and encouraging. I feel like today was one of our best lessons. Mia surprised me with questions from past lessons and was great to see how much I could recall and where to be careful as I was muddling up the tones a bit. Then on to the new stuff feel like we did so much in a hour. Time flies when i'm in class.

Mia is good at adapting the level of the class to the student. It’s just our 3rd session, but my daughter remembered more Chinese than I expected (we lived in China when she was little), so Mia is already working with her to improve her grammar and tones.

Very good at adapting the content to the student's level. Includes games and the whole lesson is very interactive. Friendly and encouraging.

I really enjoy my lessons with Mia. Mia is extremely encouraging even though I do practice I still butcher poor Mandarin so badly. She never shows any frustration just encouragement and works at my speed to get the tones right. Mia caters for when I need more repetition on certain parts and when we can move quicker as required. I don't even notice the hour is up. Not like a boring School or Uni class its engaging and you feel the progress even when its slight. I do use the HSK course but I really like that Mia can correct those nuances that I cant hear myself. I repeat according to the audio files so its nice to have Mia actually comment and correct my tone. Without Mia I'm pretty sure my Mandarin would be a giant train wreck and I would have given up by now.

One of my favorite things about Mia's lessons is she is making sure I get the tones and sounds right. Hard for her to make it stick but she is always encouraging and tries to find links I can make to encourage the memory to work. When the hour Is over I'm like wow where did the time go that's how involved I get. This from a person who finds sitting still for a movie difficult.
