Your laid-back and fun Chinese teacher! :) In 2017, I met a Mexican in China. After he went back to Mexico he contacted me because he wanted to learn how to speak Chinese. At that time, he had been taking some Chinese lessons with a native Spanish speaker. However, I found that his teacher was making some mistakes and realized I could be his Chinese teacher. Since our common language is English, this also gave me an opportunity to practice my English language skills. I discovered that I could use pinyin to help my friend pronounce Chinese correctly. The Chinese language is very different from other languages - both in grammar and pronunciation. This is why I teach my students step by step, in a fun and relaxed way. :)
