Nelly was really good at allowing me to speak and express myself before correcting me. Her explanations were thorough and were at a level of spanish I could clearly understand. She explained enough grammar for me to understand, for example why the subjunctive was best used for a particular sentence. without it slowing the conversation. I know the grammar in theory and can do it in exercises, but it is very different when I am trying to speak. The conversation today with the real time corrections of what i was saying was very helpful. Today she took my clunky expressions and taught me the colloquial expressions for what I was trying to say. This will definitely help me improve my fluency over time without me sounding like I am reading from a textbook. I am looking forward to more classes with her.

Nelly is a great teacher! Her explanations are very clear and she is able to easily adapt her teaching to the needs of the student. The lessons are interactive and fun and the exercises chosen help understand what is being taught. I definitely recommend her if you are looking to learn Spanish!
