I have always had a big interest in languages (also accents :D). Having moved to different countries makes me understand your struggle as I also had to go through the process of learning a new language myself - btw, I'm learning French at the moment. So I know that the first step is the hardest!

I am pretty flexible here: if you want to have 100% conversational classes or if you want to go deep into portuguese grammar, I can adapt. I usually use a wide range of teaching methods - we can do exercises, but we can also read articles or listen to songs. We can even read portuguese poetry, if that's something you like :)5.0

Catarina is a fabulous teacher. She is calm and patient and answers all questions thoroughly. She makes learning and understanding Portuguese feel doable and I love learning with her!

I really enjoyed my conversation lesson today with Catarina. She is very good at keeping the conversation going and making you feel comfortable attempting to speak. I have tried a few other instructors on iTalki but I always felt a little uncomfortable and I would feel stress before the lesson. I have finally found someone who meshes with my personality and I look forward to next week.
