I currently work as an associate professor in the Literature subject at the National University. The act of teaching does not end with the teacher's exposition. It is a dialogue where we exercise communication and interpersonal skills, an approach with empathy and patience. As teachers, we incorporate and practice decision-making and problem-solving skills. With time, I've learned to analyze our students' strengths, interests, and motivations in order to find the best way to approach the most difficult topics of the Spanish language.

My knowledge comes mainly from own experience as a student, from my travels, and finally from all the pedagogic courses and seminars I have attended, books I've read and hands-on teaching experience I've acquired, with students from many different countries, ages, cultures and levels. These past 8 years I taught mainly Spanish and Portuguese, and have evolved as a teacher and as an person. Because I do not believe in separating personal life from professional life, as a teacher I like to be myself, and want my students to feel they can too. Empatizo con los estudiantes tímidos e intento que se sientan en un ambiente de confianza para transmitir el gusto por el idioma sin ser abusivo; de la misma manera, me encanta conectar con los estudiantes extrovertidos que estén deseando expresarse y aprender en todo momento.
