But since the start of the crisis, I have been teaching online fulltime. I´ve always loved meeting people and talking to people so when I stopped travelling and settled down here in Mexico, working as teacher was a logical step. I really enjoy seeing my students develop and improve. I´ve taught people between the ages of 14 and 70. My students tell me they like my classes because I am patient, have a sense of humor and because I make them feel comfortable in speaking the language that we are learning.

During my lessons, I prefer to use online resources, such as short articles and videos, but if you have suggestions for other materials you would like to use, we can use those as well. During the first lesson I would like to find out what you are interested in and what your expectations are, so that I can personalize my lessons according to your own needs. I find it very important to create an environment in which you feel comfortable and encouraged to ask anything you would like to know more about. Your friend that will help you learn Dutch, with a soft spot for grammar😳 In the past, I have helped people who didn't speak any Dutch at all with the basics but also Dutch people. Usually I would help them with written langauge, because they would need someone to go over a text and check for any mistakes. I love it when people want to speak Dutch to me and therefore I am very patient. As a matter of fact, I usually prefer listening in general when it comes to speaking. Although I like grammar, I'm NOT a teacher so I won't be able to answer all grammar related questions / provide a curriculum. I believe that any language can be acquired without necessarily having to teach first. The way I see it, grammar just will help you understand the language better.

In Thailand I started to teach at the local primary school of my village.
