I grew up in a suburb, got interested in English when i was in middle school, majored in English language in college, worked at a bank for 4 years and moved to the UK in 2022.
My english learning journey started back in 2012, shoutout to Justin Bieber and One Direction lol I was into western music and wanted to understand lyrics and things they say in interviews without any Japanese translation. At first, i was studying by listening to music and watching movies but then i realised that the real English is a lot different from the English i learnt from textbooks in school. I eventually started using websites/apps to communicate with English speakers.Me as a Teacher
The main reason why i started tutoring Japanese in 2019 is because i've found it difficult to master a language just by myself and simply want to help those who are trying to learn Japanese. To communicate in another language, you gotta know not only the language but also the culture. You can easily collect information on the internet, but you wouldn't know if that's true or not until you actually experience by talking to local people or visiting the country. And i'm here to help you improve your Japanese and answer your questions/curiosity about Japan!My lessons & teaching style
My most popular lesson is "Conversational Lesson", we can just talk about anything like talking to your friend :) I'll teach you REAL Japanese that textbooks won't teach you. You don't need to be nervous to practice/speak in Japanese at all. Just take your time and make a lot of mistakes with me, that's how you learn a language. I'd appreciate if you let me know what you want to focus on, things you want to learn/talk about and materials you want to use. I really enjoyed my lesson with Yurika Sensei. She was very kind and patient. She was able to immediately know where my Japanese level was and adjusted her speaking accordingly so I was able to understand and have a conversation. I highly recommend taking a lesson. with Yurika Sensei!
