Nelson Jolivet

This was only my 2nd lesson with Nelson and I already know I made a right choice with doing lessons with him! He was super patient when I struggled and attentive to what I said. He's great with getting the conversation going. I'm someone who prefers to be corrected asap by my tutors, so that I can learn & say the correct phrase right after. I liked how the 2nd half was for me to practice passé composé vs imparfait which I've been struggling with. Merci beaucoup Nelson et Joyeux Noël !

This was my first lesson with Nelson ... it definitely won't be my last. Being my first ever italki lesson (and being very insecure about my abilities as a beginner in French), I was very nervous at the start of the lesson. But Nelson's friendly professional manner quickly put me at ease. In short order, he engaged me in conversation, encouraged me, determined my level of proficiency, provided me with useful information, determined my goals, and provided me with a suggested plan for reaching my goals. It was an excellent experience. If you are sitting on the sidelines worried about taking the next step in your language learning journey, I highly recommend you give Nelson a try.
