I'm John, a native English speaker from the United States. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Spanish literature. I have been learning languages for a long time. I've studied Spanish, Japanese, French, Korean, Mongolian and Vietnamese but I am best at Korean and Spanish. I also enjoy reading about linguistics in my spare time. My hobbies are watching movies (especially Korean and Chinese films), listening to music, spending time outdoors and hanging out with my friends.Me as a Teacher
I taught English to middle school students in South Korea for a year, then I moved to Vietnam where I taught English to Korean adults. I also volunteer at my local community college where I tutor English conversation.
I hold a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.My lessons & teaching style
I can construct classes depending on what you would like to focus on, including vocabulary, conversational fluency, reading, writing, general grammar, study help, and more.
Students learn best when teaching is tailored to them. I will change my lessons specifically for you. In my class I will first assess your level, find out what you want to improve, and then work from there. My kids took a lesson for 30 minutes each today. It was the first lesson for them. They just loved it. I listened to the conversation over the door for a moment. Teacher John just caught their attention right away. My kids usually are shy at first, but they talked a lot to John.
He spoke slowly and clearly to my kids. I think he is a great teacher.

My daughter really enjoyed the lesson today as usual! And these days I’m also taking the lesson in the morning. I feel comfortable speaking to him. I like it when he corrects me through the messenger. :)
