Hi friends - language-lovers across the globe. How are you doing these days?
My name is Jolie - an English name I adopted myself. I am a native Vietnamese. I am currently based in Ho Chi Minh City, one of the largest cities situated in the South of Vietnam. So, my dialect is southern Vietnamese. Here is good news for you. Vietnam intended to open the border on March 15, 2022, to welcome back all travelers. Now let’s count the benefits I could bring to you.
-I am a full-time teacher on Italki. -I use a series of books named VSL published by the Faculty of Vietnamology, Ho Chi Minh University of social sciences and humanities, the school where many foreign students study.Me as a Teacher
Second, about my background.
I graduated from HCM University of Social Sciences and Humanities in International Relations in 2011. In the early years after graduating, I held the position of Administrative Assistant for foreign companies. After that, I have taught English and Vietnamese in many centers and online for nearly 10 years until now. I love to impart the culture and language of Vietnam to you.
My students come from many countries like England, France, America, Russia, Korea, China, Taiwan, Canada, Australia, Japan, etc.
Their purposes of studying Vietnamese are to live in Vietnam long time, talk to their boyfriends or gfs, travel to Vietnam, work here, etcMy lessons & teaching style
Please tell me would you prefer to study in books or out of books like news, magazines, and videos. For those who like to study in the book, I would like to introduce the book named VSL, Vietnamese as a second language. This series of books is very famous in Vietnam from VSL 1 to VSL5, arranged from basic knowledge like the alphabets for beginners to advanced topics. To beginners, I advise you to learn in VSL because it’s very logical, understandable and the contents are numerous. For those who are at the proficient level or like to make comprehension in topics concerning burning topical news in daily life, I will design useful lessons suited to your needs.My teaching material

I have been taking classes weekly with Jolie for a year now. Each week is a great lesson and I continue to grow, learn and improve my language skill. My friends and family in Vietnam often comment on how well I am learning although I feel it is difficult and I am not that good. Jolie is patient and profession and always willing to change directs to fit my learning needs.
