I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started to teach Turkish when I was studying the Turkish Language and Literature. I worked in a language school and at universities, I suppose that I gained success. 😊 My achievements are directly proportional to my students’ success. My students are mostly teachers, consulate officers, international business people, and also travellers. I feel rewarded when I witness their progress in applying their Turkish language skills to their daily lives.
I am interested in literature, and cinema and like visiting museums. I have published various movie and book review articles.Me as a Teacher
In the lesson, I hold firm two main principles: providing a comfortable environment and creating an encouraging atmosphere. My students always tell me that I am very patient, positive and well-organized.
I consider I developed an aptitude for making learning Turkish much easier, more efficient and more practical.
My professionalism also allows me to tailor language education according to individual interests, needs, and capacities.
Promoting cross-cultural awareness is an important part of my lessons when teaching Turkish. Teaching the language involves the students and myself in a dynamic conversation about our cultural backgrounds.My lessons & teaching style
Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid knowledge of grammar because Turkish has a very different structure.
Basic but correct conversation is important for self-confidence in any language. If a learner can master basic sentence forms, the rest will come. On the other hand, making mistakes is also very important. Students learn by making mistakes.
If there is a magic wand, it is a study lesson! As a teacher, I can guide you on how you should study; memorizing the vocabulary is essential.
Stability is important, especially for the beginners. My most important job is to motivate my students and ensure that they learn Turkish consistently.My teaching material

Başak is the perfect teacher. She is structured, she has a good command of the material and she is patient and allows the student to make mistakes - with notes and corrections that can be studied after the lesson. Furthermore, Başak gives homework and is quick to correct texts outside of the lesson hours. For anyone who is serious about learning Turkish, Başak is the perfect choice.
