Learning a language while holding down a hectic job when you are on the wrong side of 50 is tough, and requires multiple resources and lots of patience. Perhaps the most important resource is a teacher who can help you maximise the impact of what you learn by focusing on practical vocabulary and grammar that suit your particular goals, and constantly keeps the difficulty level just a bit higher than your comfort level. Miho-san is precisely that kind of teacher. Bonus: She's super nice and a genuinely interested conversationalist!

Even though I'm still at a beginner level of Japanese, Miho-sensei was very patient listening to me try. She was very sensitive to when I was unsure of what she said, and would say it slower and add it in the chat to help me understand. I appreciate her ability to help me feel comfortable practicing even though I make many mistakes. I am excited to learn more from her.

Miho sensei’s classes are always enjoyable and packed with lots of exercises and examples to help re-enforce the grammar points. Miho sensei is a very patient teacher and listens carefully to point out any mistakes to help with improvement. Best of all, her classes are relaxed and lots of fun!

This was my first lesson with Miho and I enjoyed it a lot. I have never experienced this kind of lesson before where the teacher asks a lot of questions throughout the entire class. I don't know all of the N2 vocabulary yet but when there were difficult words I didn't know Miho was able to explain them easily. I really like her teaching style and I am looking forward to our next lesson.

Miho sensei was very encouraging even when my Japanese was not very good than usual today, and once again we talked about interesting topics.
