Me as a Teacher
I see my profession as a way to communicate with people, exchange our views and thoughts, discover new worlds and become more fulfilled and tolerant personality.
My short-term goals would be to provide my learners with practical vocabulary and grammar as well as a lot of speaking practice. I see my long-term goals as a self-discovery journey for my student and myself through the lens of learning a new language. I want my student to understand his learning style, his tastes and preferences in life and develop enthusiasm in prioritizing and achieving his life goals as well.
My lessons & teaching style
In my lessons I follow the principle “Learn a little, practice it a lot”. I let my students talk 80% of the time during the lesson. The remaining 20% I devote to teaching and presenting instructions. Such a structure of a lesson helps me make the Comprehensible Input so that learners gain new knowledge while having plenty of opportunities to practice, make mistakes, acquire new concepts, and gain confidence at the end of the process. My teaching style is based on the concepts derived from the Communicative approach (1980) as well as the Audio-Lingual (1940) and the Comprehension (1980) approaches.

I've already had three classes with Maryna and I cannot wait for the next one! It's a real pleasure to learn and improve my skills with interactive exercices and tailor-made homework. Maryna pays close attention to the needs of her students and adapt the content and learning pace. Спасибо большое!
