First and foremost, I am a language enthusiast- passionate about learning languages and teaching them to others! By day, I put on my white coat and help my patients at the Pharmacy. and by night, I switch on my favourite Norwegian TV show, listen to some French music, and speak English with my friends over a warm cup of tea. I enjoy leading a life where I can pursue all of my passions, some of mine include running, playing the guitar, volunteering, and of course, teaching Arabic!Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I approach learning from my student's perspective. I try to see what they need to receive in order to achieve their goals and succeed in learning Arabic. Our classes will always be a safe space where we can make mistakes, grow, and learn from them. For me, being a teacher means being a mentor, cheerleader, friend, and motivator to my students. I believe that the best teachers are forever-learners, and I work by this belief in my classes, always finding better and more effective teaching methods to enhance my students' learning process and ensure they enjoy it.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are 60-minute long conversation and grammar-based classes. My teaching style incorporates grammar and syntax with contextual vocabulary- I create learning materials including real-life scenarios that can be used in daily life. As we proceed to go through scenarios, I explain to my students the grammar and syntax behind each sentence, and ensure they have a holistic understanding of the various materials (audio, videos, texts, and more!). That being said, my teaching style will depend on my student's needs and their level in Arabic- I believe in a personal approach to learning, and incorporate that in all of my classes.
