Hi! My name is Amelia, I’m 18 years old and I come from Bydgoszcz, Poland. I have recently graduated from the IB - a highschool program taught entirely in English. I am planning to pursue physics in the University of Warsaw next year. I enjoy learning new things, mostly about science. I love all kinds of art - mainly music and poems. I love meeting new people and getting to know them :)
Hej! Nazywam się Amelia, mam 18 lat i jestem z Bydgoszczy. Niedawno skończyłam program IB w liceum i w przyszłym roku planuję studiować fizykę na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim. Uwielbiam uczyć się nowych rzeczy. Bardzo lubię sztukę - głównie wiersze i muzykę. Kocham spotykać i poznawać nowych ludzi :)Me as a Teacher
I most look forward to helping everyone find joy in learning a new language - the same joy that I continuously find learning French. I approach everybody individually, taking into account their learning style and preferences so that they can improve the quickest. I want to find common interests with everyone so that learning becomes exciting and enjoyable.
Najbardziej zależy mi, żeby pomóc każdemu znaleźć przyjemność w nauce nowego języka - tą samą przyjemność, którą ja odnajduje ucząc się francuskiego. Chciałabym podchodzić do każdego indywidualnie, biorąc pod uwagę jego styl nauki i preferencję. Próbuję znaleźć wspólne zainteresowania z każdym, żeby nauka była jak najmilsza.My lessons & teaching style
I can adjust my teaching style to individual needs. Personally, I believe that language can best be learnt through converation, because that’s what language is - a tool for communication. However during the conversation it is important to catch errors and work on them from there.
In Juna and July I worked in an English teaching language school in Malta :)
Chętnie dopasuje mój styl nauczania do indywidualnych potrzeb. Osobiście uważam, że język najlepiej poznany może być przez konwersacje, bo tym właśnie jest - narzędziem do komunikacji. Jednak podczas tej konwersacji ważne jest, żeby wyłapywać błędy i potem nad nimi pracować.

Teaching EnglishI taught English around my neighbourhood in live, 1-on-1 classes to teenagers younger than me on levels A1-B1. We practiced grammar and vocabulary mainly through games and conversation.

Other - International Baccalaureatte ProgrammeThe IB is a high school program focusing on 6 chosen subjects (in my case: high level mathematics, physics and English, and standard level French, Polish and psychology) which are taught entirely in English. It is a demanding program but it is worth it because in my view it develops one’s perspective of the world and teaches thinking by itself.
