Hello, I'm Om. My Full Thai name is Paskorn Larsomsri. I'm passionate about languages and fascinated when our cultures connect.
I speak Thai central. Besides, my native dialect is Northern Thai. So if you have a plan to travel up north, I am really happy to help you with that too!Me as a Teacher
Currently, I teach Thai to a few foreign friends face-to-face in Lampang, a small province in northern Thailand, for a few years. I always say, "Language is just a communication tool. If we can speak one, why not two?"My lessons & teaching style
In our class, we'll progress from beginner conversations to a level closer to native speakers. We'll focus on speaking and listening, adapting to different tones.
From beginner to advance :we'll cover
- Learning the alphabet and vowels for quicker word recognition.(optional)
- Practicing and correcting of pronunciation.
- Simulating situations such as, markets, Hotel, beach, giving directions etc.
- Understanding vocabulary through cultural contexts, Flashcard, online materials.
- Listening to different levels of Thai, from beginner to native.My teaching material

I've been stuck just below a conversational level for a while and Om has really helped push me to a point where I'm more comfortable speaking Thai in everyday situations. We do mostly conversation practice but when I have a question about grammar or vocabulary or he notices where I'm making mistakes, he helps me work on all of that. He's able to explain confusing things in a simple way and gives clear examples so I can continue to practice on my own between lessons. Still have a long way to go, but I'm really happy with the progress I'm making. Very good teacher.

As an online language teacher myself, I was very impressed.
K. Om's pronunciation is clear and he provides clear instructions. I've only had 1 class with him so far but from what I can tell, he teaches the way I like to be taught. Above all... he listens attentively and is able to answer my questions about hypothetical scenarios.

THAT WAS HUGE!! I have watched over a 100 videos from at least 20 different people. Om was the only person EVER to present what I needed to know how to pronounce Thai correctly. I see the value in practicing "as a Thai". I am so glad I have signed up with Om. Wow. THANK YOU!

Om is very patient. I was a bit nervous, as my trial lesson with him is my first time attending a lesson with the app. Om was friendly, and helped me along. I look forward to continuing my learning.
