Ruri T

What a great lesson with Ruri先生! I love that she has been a part of my Japanese learning journey for a long time now 🤗 I enjoy so much learning with her, as she makes sure I'm always comfortable with the topics studied and everything, she always adapts each class to your needs!

I'm really grateful that Ruri 先生 was willing to do some practice reading manga with me. I think that she and I both know that it's definitely a level above where I'm at, but I think that the practice is worthwhile and I'm glad that she is there to support me. While I struggled a bit with the reading, I learned a lot in the process; exposure to some new words and grammar. I had a lot of fun in the process and am excited to do some more practice on my own and practice again with Ruri 先生。

Ruri-sensei is very supportive. She helps and guides me during the lesson. We follow the Genki textbook but Ruri-sensei still adds real life examples to my context.

I really like taking classes with Ruri 先生 because I feel like every class I take with her I'm able to keep building on what we've been learning. I always feel like I have an opportunity to practice combining the words and grammar in a natural way. When I do get stuck, I'm really grateful for encouragement and how she guides me and provides context for how native speakers would use words and expressions. Today, continued covering Genki II and the exercises that she provides not only go over the material that we just learned but give me a chance to think and use things that we've covered in the past. One thing that I also really like is that she is always conscious of what my goals are and asks me what I'm interested in learning and what she can do to help me get there.

Today I had a longer class than usual with Ruri先生! It was so much fun that we were laughing throughout the whole lesson. I have been immersing as much as possible in Japanese content and Ruri could tell by my improvements in speaking and overall comprehension of the language, which gave me even more motivation to continue to do so. In this lesson, we did some speaking practice and then focused on vocabulary, grammar and listening exercises tailored to the JLPT N3. As usual, Ruri made sure I understood why each answer was correct and why the other options were not. I cannot wait until next class, I enjoy so much learning with her!! いつも通りるり先生本当にありがとうございました。今日のレッスンではすごく楽しかったです！！素敵な週末をお過ごしください 🩵

I'm really grateful that Ruri 先生 always makes an effort to expand on the material we're covering. Last week, we learned about potential verbs and today she followed up by teaching me some more nuance around the two verbs specifically, 聞こえる and 見える. Those are two really common and useful verbs I think to have a better understanding of and I don't think that I saw anything in the textbook that covers the nuance between those and 聞く and 見る respectively. The material the we used to cover the differences revealed the nuance to me and I'm really happy to have learned it so t hat I can use them more appropriately.
