Through my work as an Aupair in which I practised German with Kids aged 6 to 10 and through my language studies at University I learned that you can only teach others if you are also willing to learn and consistently drive to better your own skills. From learning many foreign languages myself I have developed my own personal hacks and tips on how to most effectively learn a new language. I accept lesson cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours in advance. However, this depends on my current lesson demand and schedule therefore I will decide on that for each individual case.

German native speaker with more than 2000 lessons and over 4 years experience of teaching I had some freelancer jobs as a translator and teacher already. Furthermore I've learned 4 foreign languages so far (English, French, Spanish, Japanese) and can therefore very well understand the problems beginners are facing when learning a new language. I've also lived in the French speaking part of swiss for more than 3 years. I enjoy teaching people things, especially in languages. I always try to speak slow, clearly and simplify my sentences if I realize the student can't keep up with me. I'm also very patient and give general advice on how to learn a language.

I mainly apply the communicative, audio-lingual, and direct methods which make lessons more interactive. All lessons are tailored to the learning preferences of a particular student to increase motivation and make the lesson more engaging. I also prepare for high level language exams (C1 Goethe Zertifikat for German and French DALF)

In my lessons, I use videos with topics that the students prefer, because I think that we learn best when we deal with topics that we love to talk about.
