Hi there future student! My name is Niko, I am from Hamburg, Germany (yes we speak the most neutral German, "Hochdeutsch") and I have been teaching German around the world for many years now. My favorite hobby, beside teaching German, is playing guitar and making music.Ich als Lehrkraft
Having learned a few languages myself, I know how important it is to keep lessons engaging and practical. That's why I try to do as many interactive exercises and drills as possible while keeping the grammar stuff to a minimum, where possible. But the truth is, you will have to learn some grammar when learning German, there's no way around it. But I promise I'll make sure to make the grammar parts as fun and engaging as possible. In my lessons, we'll do lots of conversation, interactive exercises/drills and maybe even some games. We'll also dive into the grammar where it is really necessary, but my approach is to expose you to as much real life German as possible instead of bombarding you with too many grammatical rules. Also, I encourage you to make mistakes! If we didn't make mistakes, we wouldn't progress so please don't be afraid of making mistakes. I'm here to help and coach you.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial

Niko's classes are excellent. He brings interesting topics to discuss during class and he is on point when correcting mistakes. I feel like I am becoming slightly less boring in German after each lesson. :)

A great THANK YOU to Niko, who always, ALWAYS, provides such great lessons. He really prepares each class with realistic goals, fun activities, and he works EVERY minute from the start. He DOES have a passion for teaching, and his charming personality makes it very pleasant to speak German even if you are just a beginner, or not that confident in conversations. Classes with Nico are always resourceful and he makes language learning fun.
I already learnt a lot in my first two classes with him.
I really like how he uses several tools for learning, like daily vocab list, exercises, books, etc.
He has a neutral German accent which is very easy to understand.
I look forward to achieving higher levels of German language with him!
