Hana Banana

The assignment was to write a simple summary of a book I enjoyed (The Lake by Banana Yoshimoto) and give my impressions. I enjoyed preparing this in Japanese very much and also enjoyed talking to Hana about it. She gave me excellent feedback to help me fine tune my Japanese. We also discussed Japanese women novelists whose works we enjoy.

Learning Japanese with Hana is really fun! We are diving into interactive activities that keep us engaged and excited about learning. One of the best things about Hana is how she makes us feel comfortable with making mistakes. It’s a judgment-free zone, and that really helped us to relax and focus on improving our skills and core concepts. Hana’s passion for Japanese language and culture shines in each lesson. She shared interesting insights and stories that made the learning experience even more enjoyable. Overall, if you're looking for a fun and supportive environment to learn Japanese, I highly recommend Hana. It's been a great experience in preparation for our trip to Japan. I’d even say it felt like the trip started now instead of in a few weeks when we fly out

Oh my gosh! There are so many words I can't remember, but Hana always understands what I want to say, gives me space to try to say it, then helps me find the best way to say it. いつもありがとう〜

Hana was very friendly and clear when teaching Japanese. When I don't understand something or get any sentence structure wrong, she corrects me and tries to explain in a way I understand. she also suggested good resources that can help me to improve vocab and speaking. Really fun mix of learning of materials and conversation practice!

I really enjoyed talking about my travels to Italy and Japan with Hana. She helps me dig into slightly more complex thoughts and ideas to make for thoughtful conversations in Japanese.
