Hey there! Kamusta?
I'm Tris, a manga artist and illustrator! I'm originally from the Philippines, but am now based in Vancouver, Canada! I love meeting people from different parts of the world, sharing stories, and discovering common interests. I'm passionate about my work, and am a huge fan of video games, anime, and manga (yes, I'm a geek)! Lately, I've been exploring local cafes and trying out new recipes, too.
Lumaki akong nagsasalita ng Ingles as my first language at Filipino as my second. Ngayon, kaya ko magswitch between them kapag nagsasalita ako ng Taglish: isang style ng pagsasalita na madalas maririnig sa Metro Manila at sa maraming Filipino media. Sana matulungan din ko kayo!
Ich als Lehrkraft
I know firsthand the challenges of learning a new language. Growing up learning both English and Filipino in a classroom setting, I've been in your shoes. These experiences help me understand what you're going through and tailor my teaching style accordingly.
I'm TEFL-certified and have online English teaching and conversation practice experience. Inaapply ko rin ang training at kaalaman na ito sa aking pagtutor ng Filipino!
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I help my students learn English or Taglish the way people actually talk. Let’s take what you’ve learned from translation apps, formal classes, or textbooks, and make sure you sound natural!
I use video, chats, visual aids, and conversation practice to teach technicalities like grammar and pronunciation, and everyday language. Want to know when to say “legit” (English) or “tas” (Filipino)? O kaya ang mga nuances ng pagsswitch between English and Filipino para hindi weird ang iyong pagsasalita ng Taglish?
Also, everyone learns differently! I believe in student-centered learning, so I match my lessons to your goals and pace. Let’s work together!
