Hi, my name is Lisa. My home language is Afrikaans. I am a native speaker in English and Afrikaans, living in South Africa. I am in my final year of studying towards a degree in Bachelor of Education for the Intermediate Phase, through UNISA. I have always enjoyed the language subjects in school. English and Afrikaans were my favourite subjects, especially because you can be creative and tell a story. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and learning about world history. I particularly enjoy foreign films, such as those from India. I enjoy spending time at the beach with my dog. I like to keep up with world and celebrity news.Ich als Lehrkraft
My aim is to be professional, yet friendly and relatable. I want the student to feel like they are talking with a friend, rather than a teacher. I want my students to have fun while they are learning.
I am a patient person and will help you until you completely understand the work. As the majority of South Africans are non-Afrikaans speakers, it can be a difficult subject for students in an environment where Afrikaans is rarely spoken. I would like to help children, students and adults with their Afrikaans grammar and pronunciation.Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I will start the lesson by asking if the student has anything in particular that they find difficult or need help with. I will try to understand my student's point of view and circumstances as much as possible. It will be a fun, interactive class, where my students and I will get to know each other on a friendly level. I will find out what my students enjoy in general, such as books, movies, series etc. My lessons will be based on the learner's needs and questions. I will expand their knowledge by giving them an activity to do that is either based on what they found difficult, or a continuation of their set work.
