Thankyou for visiting my profile. My name is Tabitha from Kenya. Am a native Swahili and Kikuyu speaker. Am a high school teacher by profession, teaching Kiswahili and Christian religious education. Besides teaching I coach and mentor young girls, educating them on how to deal with life's issues. During my free time, I love reading motivational and entrepreneurial books. I take teaching seriously and professionally yet with a lot of fun. I ensure that every lesson is learner-centered. I offer conversational, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary classes. I build up interactive presentations to facilitate learning. I like using pictures that help us build up a conversation based on the learner's discovery. I had a lovely conversation in Swahili with Mwalimu Tabitha and learned some new words and practiced using noun classes while navigating through some IT issues. Mwalimu Tabitha has many years of experience teaching Swahili as a formal Swahili teacher so has the expertise and knowledge to take students from learners to fluent speakers. She made me feel very welcome and comfortable in her class and I am grateful for this opportunity to practice Swahili and learn from a certified native Swahili teacher.
