Hello! My name is Nicolas. I'm half English and half Greek. I was born in London and at the moment I am living in Greece. I have lived many years in both countries, traveling, studying, experiencing day to day life and embracing their rich culture. I feel privileged that I can identify with both of my nationalities and live at ease in any of the two. The past couple of years I have become infatuated with learning foreign languages, linguistics and language acquisition. I began my journey with learning Japanese and it has been a very interesting experience as an adult.
Ich als Lehrkraft
I have been teaching English as a foreign language in Greece for two years now. I have taught one to one, mostly with children and young teenagers, preparing them for their lower exams and helping with the conversational skills. I have also taught Historical European Martial Arts for two years now. I believe this enhanced my capabilities as an teacher as I had to work simultaneously with students of different levels and find solutions to any problems that they might have.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I like to tailor my lessons to the student's specific needs. I have them focus on learning the language's structure so they can be more constructive with language. I want my students to get into the mindset of how the language works so they create the own sentences and be productive with the language.
