Over 15 years of teaching experience. Brazilian Portuguese group classes and private tutoring I've been an English teacher for over 15 years. I worked in schools for many years as a teacher and also as a teacher-coordinator. I have been teaching online since 2018, having joined italki in 2020. I go to university to study Portuguese, which is my mother tongue that I also love to teach. I'm getting my degree at the end of 2024. Years later, as I moved to Germany I studied German – one of the biggest challenges in my life. Through this experience I understood how both challenging and marvelous learning a language can be. I prepare a PowerPoint presentation with pronunciation tips (and accents), introduction to phonetic symbols (Portuguese phonetic tips) and the sounds of Brazilian Portuguese, isolated vocabularies and then small everyday phrases using such vocabulary, idioms, cultural curiosities and small doses of grammar when necessary. The student will be monitored during the class and I will always be attentive to corrections and improvements.
