I have been teaching on italki since 2017, but I first started teaching Korean in 2011. I was in an exchange program at the university in Tanzania. I helped some children speak and write in Korean at Hangeul school. It was a fresh experience for me and I had a great time with them. (In Korean, the verb comes last). For example, in English, we say "What are you talking about?" But in Korean, we say "What kind of saying is it? (=무슨 말이에요?)" Also, in English, we say "Happy birthday." But in Korean, we say "Birthday congratulations (= 생일 축하해요)." Example like these show just how different English and Korean are.
