Speak With Confidence, Get Your Dream Job & Find Friends For Life Over the past couple years I've been teaching thousands of hours of German for beginners, intermediate and advanced students to help them prepare for the "Deutschtest für Zuwanderer". It's always a pleasure to see the progress my students make.

I also pay attention to details such as absolutely correct grammar and orthography. That doesn't mean, however, that my lessons are dry. I'm always ready for a joke to make a lesson fun. My students also appreciate my famous drawings that explain a language problem in a fun and easy-to-remember way. That's why my students call me Markus Picasso. You can study any level with me, even Telc exam preparations (I'm an official Telc exam expert).

I love sharing knowledge and ideas. I have been teaching and learning on italki for almost two years now. My specialty are 'General German' and 'Conversation Practice'. As a teacher, I create a friendly atmosphere where you feel comfortable and have the opportunity to speak a lot in German. I will try to create a very comfortable atmosphere so you can concentrate on the lesson. 2) Teaching a fun class: The class should be fun and interesting, that’s when we get the best results. I would love to know about topics that interest you and consider them in my preparation of the class. 3) Speak as much German as possible: You have to get used to the structure, the sound and the rhythm of the language. That's why I want to encourage you that we speak as much German as possible during the class.

I have taught German and English in several different circumstances. During my early internships in China I organized basic German and business level English trainings. In the German Chamber of Commerce, I was also involved in editing a yearly bi-language training brochure for special trainings in Shanghai. But I also taught English and German for a year in kindergarten, where I focused on fun in acquiring a new language. In Germany I mainly taught German privately, mainly focusing on the Testdaf-exam but also the German high school-diploma Abitur. Occasionally, I also prepared students for the TOEFL-Exam.

For those whose level is not good enough yet for a proper conversation, I'll teach you grammar and vocabulary to get you started. I have a postgraduate teaching qualification from the Goetheinstitut but more important I have been learning and teaching languages nearly all my life so I have experienced both sides. Living abroad and talk another language can be difficult but also fun once you get a better understanding how the language works.

Learning a new language is a challenge, and to learn it and be able to speak it fluently takes time and effort. I want to help you to improve your spoken Swiss German or German and of course also your listening. I know what it is like to learn a new language and the most important is that you can practice as much as you can. I finished the professional development programme DLL at the Goethe Institute in Germany, with the aim of expanding my skills and knowledge in the German teaching field.
