Hello, wonderful learners! I’m Laura, your friendly TEFL and IELTS-certified teacher from Scotland! 🌍 I am now living in Vietnam and I love connecting with amazing students like you.
Teaching is my passion! With over 5 years of experience, I thrive on helping you achieve your English goals while having fun. 🎉 My classes focus on YOU! Whether it’s IELTS prep, discussing your favorite books, or learning new vocabulary, expect lots of laughter and a relaxed atmosphere.

I’m a certified TEFL teacher with over 5 years of teaching experience in Vietnam, and I hold an additional certification in teaching IELTS speaking and writing. I’ve taught online for the past 3 years, where I’ve had the pleasure of meeting over 1,000 students. During that time, I’ve maintained 'super tutor' status, with the majority of my students being adults from Japan, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and South Korea. IELTS speaking teacher - IELTS Australia/IDP - 2023I gained this certificate by finishing 20 hours of training for the IELTS speaking part. I learnt what examiners do to decide on a band for test-takers. With this information I can support my students who are taking the IELTS exam to reach a higher band level. I learnt about all of my necessary criteria regarding the public band descriptors for IELTS.
