Hey! My name is Matt, I'm from Brno, and I'm looking forward to teaching you Czech. I've been learning foreign languages since I was 6, and it's a real passion for me. Besides, I'm a real 'kavárenský povaleč'. I love spending time in nature, for which the Czech Repblic is a great place. Come here and see! ¡Hola! Me llamo Mateo, soy de Brno y tengo muchas ganas de enseñarte el checo. Llevo aprendiendo idiomas desde que tenía 6, y es mi verdadera pasión. Además, soy un verdadero 'kavárenský povaleč'. Me encanta pasar tiempo en la naturaleza, para lo cual la República Checa es un lugar excelente. Ven aquí a verlo!

I've been teaching maths at the university level for 3 years. I helped many people improve their language knowledge, including helping the Ukrainian refugees learn Czech. Czech is one of the most complicated European languages which makes learning it a real challenge. But don't worry, I'm here to help you out! Llevo 3 años enseñando matemáticas al nivel universitario. He ayudado a gente a mejorar sus conocimientos de idiomas, incluido la ayuda a los refugiados ucranianos a aprender checo. El checo es uno de los idiomas europeos más complicados, lo que convierte su aprendizaje en un verdadero reto. Pero no te preocupes, ¡estoy aquí para ayudarte!

I know Czech really well, so I can prepare a structured course to build your ability step by step. If you're at a more advanced level or you're a native speaker of a Slavic language, we can just have a conversation where I point out the tricky grammar and write down the vocabulary. In any case, I'll adapt to your needs. Conozco el checo muy bien, así que puedo preparar un curso estructurado para desarrollar tu capacidad paso a paso. Si ya estás a un nivel más avanzado, podemos restringirnos a llevar una conversación, dónde yo te avise de la gramática compleja y anote el vocabulario. En cualquier caso, me adaptaré a tus necesidades.

Matěj is such a good teacher, I had a blast during our lesson together. He explains things in such a great way and has no issues in repeating or going back to a topic if you didn’t quite understand. Will definitely be booking another lesson and you should too!

The first lesson was very productive and Matěj shows also commitment to teach you the language. Him speaking english and also spanish is very helpful for me to better understand the meaning of some words and the difference. I already booked more lessons !

I have taken 100 lessons with Matěj and he has been one of the most diligent and attentive tutors I had on iTalki. He has very carefully and professionally crafted lessons which are very well structured that enable both a functional use of the language and the cultural knowledge too. Most of my lessons are almost entirely in Czech and we have interesting conversations and am reading more complex texts. I have been able to apply my knowledge from these lessons to conversations with my Czech and Slovak speaking friends and on my trips to Czechia. My progress in the language is for a large part down to Matěj's excellent teaching! I thoroughly recommend him as a tutor. Děkuji moc! :-)

Another amazing, fun and super interesting class. We talked about very interesting topics and Matěj explained everything super well and made sure I understood the new concepts we were discussing. Těším se na další hodinu. :)
