Hei vaan! My name is Maureen. I grew up and went to school in Tampere Finland but currently live in the US. I'm a native Finnish and English speaker but I also speak fluent Spanish. I've also studied German, Swahili, Swedish, Latin, Italian and Portuguese. I have also lived in three continents (a bunch of those years in Mexico). As you can see, I love learning about cultures and languages but other interests I have are watching and reviewing movies, reading books, fitness, playing the piano and singing.عني كمعلّم
In my classes we will focus on talking in Finnish in order to increase your confidence as a Finnish speaker. I'm a firm believer of speaking soon because it benefits the language learning process. I am here to help and not to judge - this class is going to be a safe space to practice and make mistakes. The topics of my lessons vary according to the interest of the student.
