I'm easy going and patient enough to teach 2000+ chinese lessons in reality and online.
Now I am a junior high school teacher in the public middle school.
I am good at teaching kids and beginners.
*Language institution:hired by company to teach business Chinese( culture difference and technical terms expresstion) and Chinese lesson for kids,HSK examination for beginners, intermediates and advanced level learners.
*Home tutor:help the foreign students to pass the HSK and do Chinese homework;teach the housewife and company employee Chinese converstion;teach the kids to learn Pronunciation,pinyin,conversation and text.
*Online Chinese teacher: 2 years

Teaching Methods:

All of my lessons are customized according to your needs and Chinese level.
I will try to create scenes,use physical objects and examples to help you understand complex grammar.In my class,I will use my passion,responsibility and patience to build your confidence and interest.Materials such as PPT files, website articles , textbook are provided. I really enjoy my lessons with Mia. Mia is extremely encouraging even though I do practice I still butcher poor Mandarin so badly. She never shows any frustration just encouragement and works at my speed to get the tones right. Mia caters for when I need more repetition on certain parts and when we can move quicker as required. I don't even notice the hour is up. Not like a boring School or Uni class its engaging and you feel the progress even when its slight. I do use the HSK course but I really like that Mia can correct those nuances that I cant hear myself. I repeat according to the audio files so its nice to have Mia actually comment and correct my tone. Without Mia I'm pretty sure my Mandarin would be a giant train wreck and I would have given up by now.

One of my favorite things about Mia's lessons is she is making sure I get the tones and sounds right. Hard for her to make it stick but she is always encouraging and tries to find links I can make to encourage the memory to work. When the hour Is over I'm like wow where did the time go that's how involved I get. This from a person who finds sitting still for a movie difficult.

it has been a while since I took a class with Mia but today we review words and phrase from the previous classes to refresh my memory. We also went over a new lesson. Class is always fun, there is a never a dull moment.
