Hello! I'm Tamara :)
Apart from teaching German on Italki I also work as a freelance conference interpreter. In spring 2020 I finished my PhD thesis about the communicative competence in German of Spanish Translation and Interpreting students.
In my freetime I like to read all sorts of books, learn about psychology and personal development, spend time with friends and family, do some yoga and play with my dog, Blacky. Since I love being in nature, my favourite sport is hiking!عني كمعلّم

If you wish to go through and complete a whole level (A1, A2, B1, etc.) I usually work with text books that will provide an organised structure for the course. Here we will cover grammar, vocabulary, speaking, reading, writing and listening. Normally I suggest listening, reading and writing tasks as homework, so that we can focuss on speaking and learning new grammar and vocabulary during the lesson.
With students who are not interested in doing a structured course I often use texts, videos o selected grammar exercises to broaden the vocabulary of the student, enhance his or her fluency and improve their grammar.

Another excellent lesson with Tamara. I enjoyed the focus on speaking exercises, and her lesson notes are really easy to read and complement the textbook material nicely, which effortlessly integrates and reinforces the lesson content. I also enjoy how patient and encouraging Tamara is when I'm having trouble with an exercise. Danke schön Tamara!

Well, it was great. I never put a negative review to anybody, event if he or she is disastrous, but in this case, sincerely, it was very comfortable, and knowing that she is partly spanish and that she lives in Spain, this changes a lot of things. Probably she will be selected after summer amongst my 2-3 favourite teachers.

Tamara is very friendly, adapts the lessons to my needs and wishes and gives useful verbal and written feedback. She is helping me prepare for the B1 exam and the lessons are enjoyable and very helpful.
