Ciao! My name is Chiara, I'm a 27- year-old native Italian and English teacher born and raised in the city of Salerno, near the beautiful Amalfi Coast, in the Southern part of Italy. I have always had a passion for foreign languages: as a student of English and Spanish first, and as a teacher now. My passion and curiosity led me to my BA in American Studies and my MA in Linguistics and Foreign Languages Education. Besides the two languages I studied and graduated in, I do believe my native language - Italian - to be one of the most fascinating languages in the world and I want to give my contribution to its learning as a foreign language.عني كمعلّم
Being a foreign languages student myself, I do know the struggles of learning a new language. My aim is to provide a relaxing and inclusive environment where everyone is more than welcome to challenge theirselves and enjoy every bit of the process. Knowing three different languages definitely helps me with my students, expecially beginners, as I am able to understand the hardest aspects of learning the foreign languages that I teach and provide translations. My academic background in Foreign Languages Education is what drove me towards the development of my own personal teaching strategy.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I like my lessons to be personalized, dynamic and interactive. I don't like thousands of grammar exercises, which I find frustrating and counterproductive in case of beginners, and I prefer my teaching to be much more natural and hopefully entertaining. I am a fan of the storytelling strategies and usually implement them in my lessons, providing stories about the Italian and English/American culture, traditions and society, so that students not only develop linguistic competence, but also intercultural skills. The TPRS methodology, in which I deliver part of my lessons, specifically focuses on language acquisition through interactive storytelling and repetitive reading.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Always a really great class. What I enjoy most about Chiara classes is that despite me being a beginner in italian it will still be an immersion class. Chiara is fluente in english but unlike most teacher will try hear best to explain everything in soley italian which is great for my learning, instead of just giving a direct translation in English, this give me context and helps build up this nunances of how italian is spoken and it's really appreciated! Great class!

Chiara is such an interesting person to talk with! I also feel really encouraged due to her patience and understanding of my very rusty Italian. It's only the second lesson, but I get all the good vibes.

I am grateful to have found Chiara to help me through my journey of learning Italian. Each lesson with her has been very enjoyable, it's well thought out and planned. She really takes the time to help you understand the Italian language while also making it simplistic. I look forward to the next lesson with Chiara!:)
