Ahoj! Hi there! I am Štěpán (Steve), welcome to my profile! I graduated from CULTS Prague, I hold a master's degree in Business Administration. I teach Czech to my foreign friends in my free time and we enjoy it! I am currently based in Taiwan, studying Mandarin at NCKU in Tainan. I love traveling, I joined a work and travel program and worked in the USA for 3 months, I visited Taiwan multiple times - first as a volunteer, I was teaching in one high school in Taipei, later as an exchange student, and now I study Mandarin in Tainan.

I am a very patient teacher. I know what it takes to learn a new language. I will always do my best to find a way of teaching that suits you and to explain the Czech language rules clearly. We will practice conversation so you can feel more confident but also have to dive into Czech grammar, which is quite complex, but a necessary part of the language. I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes, that's how you improve. Remember that language is a marathon, not a sprint. :) Motivation is something that helps you to get started, but consistency is the key.

In the beginning, I would like to know your language level, your goal, and your expectations. All my lessons will be prepared based on your needs. I would say that the best way how to improve language is through conversation, but of course, we will also focus on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. If you decide to book a lesson, please send me a brief introduction - what is your level, what do you think you need to improve (what should we focus on), and where do you want to be. We will find the most suitable way how to get you there. :)

I am currently taking conversation lessons with Stepan, he makes effort to prepare materials tailored to my needs. And patiently explains the grammar. He ends the lessons only after he makes sure I have no more questions or concerns. Overall, very responsible, polite and respectful teacher. So far I am very happy. And I recommend Stepan highly.

Stěpan is a a great teacher: patient, calm and pays attention to what you say. What I appreciate the most is how he shares the screen and shows the correct spelling of words, or the correct structure or sentences while we speak. The helps a lot the learning process ;)
